PYC's staff aims to inspire the young people who come to work with us. We choose songs with messages that offer them a vision for a brighter future. We strive to teach in a way that fosters joy. And by getting to know each of the singers and encouraging them to bring their whole being to the learning process, we show them how they can make a difference in the rehearsal room and the world. 

PYC also opens young singers' eyes to the bigger world of music that lies waiting for them as they grow. Just this fall, we have students in three professional opera productions, and we are working to bring a choir from South Africa here to work with hundreds of students from across the area this coming February. 

Amidst all this excitement, PYC has some big financial questions to answer. Recently, some of our longstanding grant funders have informed us that their priorities have understandably shifted over the last few years, and that we will not be receiving funding from them this season.

So, we have some fundraising goals which are far bigger than prior years. Thanks to those who have given early, we’ve already reached about 20% of our goal. You can help us get even closer!
