Steven Schmidt
Conductor of Talisman Choir
A 2011 graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, Steven Schmidt is a Pittsburgh native, originally from the South Hills. Steven currently teaches Kindergarten through Fifth Grade General Music and Chorus at Bradford Woods Elementary School in the North Allegheny School District. He previously taught Kindergarten-Fifth Grade General Music and Chorus for the Fairfax County Public School in Fairfax, VA.
Steven is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, The National Association for Music Education, and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. He has been asked to present at the annual PMEA Conference, Fairfax County Public Schools, Duquesne University, and North Allegheny. He still actively performs, most recently with the VOCE Chamber Singers in Herndon, VA.
